AC Football Defeats Bellmont

On Friday, the Jets opened up their season with a big win over Adams County rival Bellmont.  The Jets jumped out to a early lead and never looked back going up 21-0 at halftime.  The Jets kept gaining yards and touchdowns throughout the game and when it was over, AC came away with the win by a 42-14 score.  The Jets defense held the Braves to 163 yards of total offense, with a majority of that coming late in the 4th quarter.

Bailea Sprunger kicked 4 extra points and became the first female in Adams Central history to score points in a Varsity game.

Stat Leaders:

Parker Bates- 1 passing TD and 2 Rushing TDs

Logan Macklin- 148 yards rushing, 1TD

Drew Schultz- 118 Yards Rushing, 2 Rushing TDs

Chase Peterson- 63 Yards Receiving and a TD

The Jets Defense had 3 players tied as the leading tacklers with 5 stops each.  They were Logan Macklin, Drew Shultz, and Chandler Schumm.

 

The Jets take on Eastside High School this Friday at 7:00 in Butler.
