Meet Recap

The Adams Central girls were impressive at the ACAC Invitational on Saturday. Senior Althea Shoaf and Freshman Olivia Reynolds both earned 2nd team All-Conference. Reynolds finished 8th overall with a new personal record time of 21:25. Shoaf also lowered her PR with a 13th place finish in 21:39. With a strong finish was freshman Avree Armes in 23:06. It was a PR for Armes as she passed several runners in the final 200 meters. Senior Madison Call finished 4th for the Jets in a PR time of 23:20 for 26th place overall. The final Jets runners finished within 8 seconds of each other. The sophomore trio was led by Makenna Call in 23:46 for a new PR. Zoe Egly came in right behind Call in 23:48. Kaylee Olmsted finished up the scoring for the Jets with a new PR of 23:54. The team finished 3rd, just 2 points behind 2nd place Heritage. The Jets start the state tournament on Saturday, Oct. 7th at Bellmont HS.
