With school being closed through Friday May 1st, Commissioner Cox released some guidance and hope for the spring season.
Upon our return to school on May 4th, we will begin practicing as well. All spring sports will be required to complete 5 practices in order to compete. Make sure all of your paperwork is turned in.
Commissioner Cox also stated you may meet with a non-school team until May 1 without penalty, baseball and softball teams may only have 5 players from the same school per team.
I want to make the following very clear: while we want our athletes to be in the best shape possible upon return, social distancing and non-essential gathering restrictions are still in place (groups of 10 or less people). Please do not put your health and safety at risk for the potential of a few cuts, an extra bull pen session, or an extra long toss day.
Additionally our school campus is still closed, coaches cannot meet with players. Rules are still in place. We just have some options. Be smart, be safe, keep up on your grades.
We miss all of our athletes and cannot wait to see all of your smiling faces. Enjoy Spring Break!
