Jets News · Kaidenn’s Fun Run

Cross Country runner Kaidenn Arnold was contact traced and put into quarantine on the Thursday before the ACAC Cross Country meet, causing him to miss the ACAC meet and our Cross Country Senior Day.  His 14 day quarantine also meant that he would have to miss ISHAA Sectional, which meant he wouldn’t have a chance to qualify for Regionals.  Being quarantined ended his season in a sudden and sad way.

After working with Coach Ken Swales and Kaidenn’s family we arranged an evening to gather up the Cross Country teams and give Kaidenn one last chance to run with his team mates and cross the finish line.  Tonight we met to celebrate Kaidenn’s season and senior day.  Joined by coaches and team mates Kaidenn ran our 5K course as several families from the Cross Country program cheered him on.  After all the runners crossed the finish line we celebrated Kaidenn’s senior day with his parents and the rest of his family.  While it was a cold brisk evening, we were blessed with enjoying team camaraderie and a beautiful sunset.  Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening!
