Logan Macklin Drives In Four To Jets Victory Over Bluffton
Logan Macklin was an RBI machine on Tuesday, driving in four on two hits to lead Jets past Bluffton 15-11 on Tuesday. Macklin drove in runs on a double in the second and a double in the second.
Jets grabbed an early lead. Jets scored on a single by Jalen Hammond in the first inning, a double by Macklin in the second inning, a home run by Parker Bates in the second inning, a double by Kevin Brown in the second inning, a home run by Chase Peterson in the second inning, a double by Macklin in the second inning, and a groundout by Bates in the second inning.
Jets pulled away for good with 11 runs in the second inning. In the second Macklin doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs, Bates homered on a 3-1 count, scoring two runs, Brown doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, Peterson homered on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, Macklin doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs, and Bates grounded out, scoring one run.
Bluffton scored three runs in the seventh inning. Bluffton offense in the inning was led by K Moore and E Inskeep, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Brown pitched Jets to victory. He went two innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one. Bates and Hammond entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Moore started the game for Bluffton. He surrendered 12 runs on seven hits over two innings, striking out two. Inskeep threw four innings out of the bullpen.
Jets hit two home runs on the day. Peterson went yard in the second inning. Bates had a homer in the second inning. Bluffton socked four home runs on the day. Moore went for the long ball in the first and seventh innings. Inskeep put one out in the seventh inning. K Thompson went yard in the third inning.
Jets tallied 12 hits. Peterson, Bates, Macklin, and Kyle Arnold all managed multiple hits for Jets. Peterson led Jets with three hits in four at bats.
Bluffton saw the ball well today, racking up 13 hits in the game. Moore, Inskeep, Thompson, and G King each racked up multiple hits for Bluffton. Moore went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Bluffton in hits.
