Jets Can’t Catch Up To Heritage
Jets watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 8-4 loss to Heritage on Wednesday. Heritage scored on a single by Jackson Bearman in the first inning.
In the first inning, Heritage got their offense started when Bearman singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Hunter Miller earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Heritage. The fireballer allowed four hits and two runs over two and a third innings, striking out one and walking one. Leroy Lepper and Morgan Andrews entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Ryan Black took the loss for Jets. The righty went one-third of an inning, allowing three runs on two hits.
Blake Heyerly led Jets with three hits in three at bats.
Bearman went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Heritage in hits.
