Four hits from Mason Deroo helped lead Jets past New Haven 16-6 on Saturday in Game 2 of Double Header. Deroo doubled in the first, doubled in the second, singled in the fourth, and doubled in the fifth.
The Adams Central JV Jets collected 15 hits and New Haven had seven in the high-scoring affair.
The Jets got on the board in the first inning when Deroo doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Jets put up eight runs in the fourth inning. The offensive firepower by Jets was led by Justin Bultemeier, Deroo, Jaren Hildebrand, Austin Maldeney, Kolten Fawbush, and Blake Heyerly, who all drove in runs.
New Haven scored three runs in the fifth inning. New Haven big bats were led by Immroth and Moore, all driving in runs in the frame.
Kam Brown got the start for Jets. He surrendered three runs on four hits over three innings, striking out four and walking one.
Kortenber was on the hill for New Haven. He allowed 13 hits and 14 runs over four innings, striking out three.
Jets totaled 15 hits in the game. Deroo, Chase Murray, Hildebrand, and Bultemeier all managed multiple hits for Jets. Deroo led Jets with four hits in four at bats. Murray led Jets with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with eight stolen bases.
New Haven tallied seven hits on the day. Immroth, Kortenber, and Hemegan each racked up multiple hits for New Haven.
