The Adams Central boys cross country team, almost at full strength, ran on a challenging course in Huntington this past Saturday. Times were 20 to 30 seconds slower on the day. Carter Steele led the way with a 19:37, his best effort of the year. Korbin Connelley crossed the line at 20:09. Klayton Terrel (20:09.3), unaffected by missing last week’s race, was nipped at the finished by Connelley. Jackson Shoaf continued his steady improvement, clocking in at 20:47. Evan McAfee, also back from injury, finished the scoring with a strong 20:35 effort. Tyler Ausland continued to improve, missing a PR by 3 seconds (20:55). Logan Clark ignored the hills and ran his fastest time of the year, 22:21. Andrew Schwartz rounded out the day with a 23:05. The Jets will compete in the ACAC championships next Saturday. Each runner will be allowed to invite 2 adult spectators to the race.
